Seeing Every Patient Clearly
I chose ophthalmology because it allows me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives—restoring vision, relieving discomfort, and helping patients see the world more clearly. My journey has taken me from Miami to Loma Linda to Orange County, working alongside exceptional mentors and performing thousands of complex surgeries. Each experience strengthened not only my skills, but also my belief that every patient deserves personalized, compassionate care using the most advanced techniques available.
Training and Experience
I completed my ophthalmology residency at South Miami Eye Institute in Florida, followed by a Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Loma Linda University Eye Institute in Southern California. I later joined their faculty as an Attending Cornea Specialist, where I trained future ophthalmologists and contributed to scholarly projects and research publications.
Before joining InSight Vision Center, I practiced as a Cornea and Anterior Segment Surgeon at Tayani Eye Institute in Orange County and Tricounty Eye Institute in Corona, California. Across these experiences, I have performed more than 1,000 ophthalmic surgeries, including cataract extraction with phacoemulsification, corneal transplants, scleral-fixated intraocular lenses, and complex ocular trauma repairs.
Dedicated to Precision and Progress
I am passionate about innovation in eye care—from advanced intraocular lens technology to minimally invasive surgical techniques. My goal is to provide the highest standard of care by combining surgical precision with clear communication, helping patients make informed decisions about their vision health.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, surfing, home renovation projects, origami, and spending quality time with my daughter and family. I also value mentoring students and colleagues who share a love for ophthalmology and lifelong learning.
